Cook Leaf-Wrapped Bamboo Rice

A Malaysian native taught us how to cook rice with bamboo and leaves.

(Picture Above) Those are leaf-wrapped raw rice bundles we made.

The leaves we used for wrapping raw rice.

The leaf-wrapped raw rice bundles were inserted into a bamboo cylinder. We filled the cylinder with water and stuffed the lid of the bamboo cylinder with leaves as a lid cover before putting the bamboo cylinders onto firewood to be cooked.

The bamboo cylinder in the middle was stuffed with chicken and potatoes. The other 2 cylinders were stuffed with raw rice bundles.

We had barbequed chicken drumsticks...yummy.
