I had a hard time hiking up the stairs to the Hakone Checkpoint watchtower.Video's music composed and played by me.
To get to Hakone Sekisho we had to ride a ferry across Lake Ashi
These ships look like pirate ships...@_@
Below, the floating red gate entrance on Lake Ashi is the torii of Hakone shrine.
I like the squids here..I couldn't had enough barbequed squids in Shinjuku. Once we reach the other side of the Lake, I saw an old man selling barbequed squids and I got one. This one is as juicy as those I had in Shinjuku.
On the way to Hakone Sekisho, there's a bridge in Lake Ashi.
Below is Hakone Sekisho, an old Hakone Checkpoint along the shore of Lake Ashi.
some ancient samurai sword hanging on the wall of the Hakone Sekisho's museum
This one below looks like an ancient kitchen... I found lots of wooden funny kitchen tools inside so i guessed that's a kitchen ><
They had ancient asian squat toilet too... here.
Another food I like in Hakone is the sticky rice cake.. Unlike chinese rice cake the japanese rice cake not sweet, dipped in some sort of soy sauce.
They serve fresh raw abalone.
I don't know how to cook an ablone. The waitress help me cut and cook it.
