Hike up to Active Volcano Mountain Mt Kamiyama, Hakone (神山) Japan

The video above was taken at Mount Kamiyama ( Mt. Kami ) with a height of 1438m above sea level in Hakone, Kanagawa, Japan. I took a cable car to reach the hiking trail entrance located beside Ōwakudani 大涌谷. The video's music is played and composed by me.

It's quite breezy up here...  Mt. Kamiyama has really nice hiking trails with nature man made trail steps built of wood logs and stones.

A view of Mt. Kami from the bottom of the Mt. Kami's hiking trail.  My first time hiking in a volcano active zone. Mt. Kamiyama erupted 3000 years ago.

All trails in Mt. Kami are nicely made flat paths like the picture above until the last path to the peak is a short steep and narrow nature stairs. The path is easy that old people with shaky hands and a walking stick had no problem reaching the peak.

yay! finally reached the top... I took about 2 hours to hike up and down the peak of Mt Kami from the trail's entrance.

I found my spot for a beautiful view at the mountain's peak.
The peak were surrounded with tall trees blocking the view. I had to walk further down away from the peak for a better scenery.

On the way down the Mt. Kamiyama Hiking trail, I caught a better view of Mt. Fuji. Mount Fuji looks like Malaysia's shaved ice dessert topped with condensed milk from far "ABC ice kacang"

The volcanic zone mountain trails are surrounded with dry soil and grasses. The soil was so dry and clean that I couldn't find any creepy crawlies or insects on the trail. Or..if they exist i was not lucky enough to see one in Mt Kami. The Malaysia's rain forest hiking trails were full of ants and leeches.

The bottom of the trail is surrounded with hot sulphuric steam vents rises through the sulphur rocks. The higher you hike Mt. kami the less sulphuric fumes you could inhale. The air at the summit is fresher.

From Mount Kamiyama hiking trail you could see the whole great boiling valley Ōwakudani 大涌谷  with steam vents and bubbling hot springs, a place you could purchase Black Eggs.
