Miniature pumpkin seeds.

Method : Self watering pot with soil as the medium

Preparing my self watering flower pot as below:

Seeds were sown on self-watering pot with 3-inch depth of soil as the medium. I'm using cotton to absorb water functional for keeping the soil above moist for a week. This method does not requires daily watering. The bottom of the pot is filled with water every 7 days to to keep seeds moist.

Miniature toy pumpkin seed started to sprout after 5 days. Seed germination rate depends on temperature water and oxygen. In my room seeds are planted in a rather hot temperature, around 30°C indoor and they managed to germinate 2 out of 5 seeds. Toy pumpkin seeds germinate well at temperature of 23-29°C.

The seed opens up and a tiny root reached the soil and the seed begins to sprout =)
