Swiss-Garden Golf Resort & Spa Damai Laut's Beach at Lumut, Perak

Family trip to a private beach inside Swiss Garden Golf Resort & Spa Damai Laut at Lumut, Perak.  It's a nice clean beach.

The moment we walk down the steep stairways to the beach , we were repeatedly stung by lots of mosquitoes. It's like in jungle ...Mosquitoes on a beach?! I've been to many beaches in Malaysia and very rare mosquitoes will surround you like this..because of salty sea breeze. But this beach shock us with the mosquitoes...maybe the beach's rain forest jungle is too close.

Beautiful view at one of the seaside balcony. I hardly able to swim because my mom quickly rushed us back to the seaside balcony. We brought sunscreen only we never thought this place would have mosquitoes therefore we didn't bring our mosquitoes repellent body spray. It's the worst ever ruined beach vacation I had because my parents refused to stay at the beach watch me swim..I can't swim alone there's no lifeguard so I had to join my parents at the mosquitoes free zone seaside balcony taking pictures instead of swimming.

Sea view from Swiss Garden Golf Resort & Spa Damai Laut's balcony.

Some local food and snacks we had during our beach vacation below :

On the way to the beach at Swiss-Garden Golf Resort & Spa Damai Laut in Lumut, we dropped by Ipoh town area to have some noodles.

We also had some Yong Tao Foo(bean curd and fish ball dumplings) and Lai Fun noodles for lunch in Ipoh

Cendol (shaved ice with green jelly, beans, palm sugar and coconut milk) with Pulut (glutinous rice/ sticky rice) at James Cendol stall located at Jalan Lumut in Sitiawan, Perak.
It is a popular Cendol stall in Sitiawan. The shaved ice melted very fast in hot weather.

Gong Piang (traditional chinese salty pastry or biscuit) with onion fillings
We keep snacking on the way to Lumut. After having cendol, we dropped by the town in Sitiawan for this popular local snacks called Gong Pian / Gong Piang sold at Sitiawan Cheong Cia Gong Pian stall. It's a popular stall selling gong piang in Sitiawan.

By the time we reach this stall, all the Gong Piang with Char Siew (barbecued pork) fillings were sold out we can only order Gong Piang with onion fillings. All their gong piang are freshly made and hot because they sold out very fast.

The onion gong piang has a nice aroma... a little crunchy when it's still hot and tough in texture, it's best to eat when it's hot. Gong piang looks like pastries from village in the olden days.

Swiss-Court Holiday Apartments (dining area and swimming pool)
Because the private beach at Swiss Garden Golf Resort & Spa Damai Laut has too many mosquitoes..I had to swim in this swimming pool (picture above) near our accommodation at Swiss-Court Holiday Apartments. We stayed for a night there.

Swiss-Court Holiday Apartments lobby

The lobby is located near the swimming pool

Lumut Jetty terminal (It's a jetty terminal for ferry rides to Pangkor Island) near the Waterfront Promenade market in Lumut town

The next day after we check out from the apartment, my dad brought us to the Lumut Jetty Terminal and Waterfront Promenade in Lumut town to enjoy the sea view. The street markets and shops in Lumut town is a place to look for cheap marine products, local confectioneries, souvenirs and seafood. My mom bought some dried anchovies, dried seaweeds, dried salted fish and other seafood snacks like spicy roasted squid and fish snack , etc....

Steamed fish & Crab with salted egg
On the way home, we went to Restoran Hai Tien Ti at Kampung Cina, in Sitiawan, Perak for lunch.

Fresh oyster

Raw oyster dipped in lime.

Prawn noodles at a stall in Perak before we go home.
