Hammock Camping In The Wild Portable Stove Outdoor

I went for a 3 days 2 nights hammock camping trip on an island in Malaysia's second largest lake Tasik Temenggor lake. It was my first overnight camping trip on an island.

On the way to the lake Tasik Temenggor, we stopped by Lenggong town for a good lunch.
We ordered a table of freshwater fish good Chinese food delicacies, especially the freshwater Sai Dou fish. Once we reached campsite we would be eating canned food bla..bla.. vacuum pack bla..bla

Lenggong town seafood restaurant is famous with their Sai Dou Fish Belly with ginger and scallions...

Lenggong Town also famous for their fish balls 西刀鱼丸 Sai Dou Fish Ball made from a type of freshwater fish called Sai Dou.

We had spicy shrimp belacan with Petai...a vegetable that stinks in your mouth like Durian fruit..

They ordered a Steamed Kampong Chicken. Kampong means village...I like Village Chicken their meat tasted better than white chicken.

Looks at its teeth it's a freshwater Tapah Fish!

What a memorable fish head of the fresh and tasty Tapah fish.... It looks humurous with it's big mouth and funny looking eye staring at you.

After lunch we finally arrived at Tasik Temenggor lake, parked our cars near the lake's jetty for the boat ride to our campsite on an island in Temenggor Lake .

yay! so excited for my first boat ride...my camera wasn't waterproof.. that was the only thing i worried about on the boat. I held tightly to my camera and the boat ^^

A view of other people in their boat on the way to their camp site.

On the way to our campsite we past by several islands... at the lake.

My first time riding a boat ... I like the boat ride. The weather is almost fine..drizzling at the beginning of the boat ride but luckily it didn't rain. phew... (I was so happy it didn't rain...)

A view of the island. The Tasik Temenggor lake and the murky river ( our water source ) near our camp site..

The boat dropped us at this part of the island at the Tasik Temenggor lake....

Once we arrived on the island we unloaded all our bags from the boat and everyone was busy setting up their own hammocks or tents in the camp site near the lake.

Sitting on the hammock with net. Looks like a pea in a pea's pod. Got this hammock for my first overnight camping trip. It was my first time sleeping in a hammock.

After some help from friends we had our hammocks nicely set up.

Behind these shady trees....lies a toilet in the jungle prepared by the outdoor event organizer of the Temenggor Lake camping on an island trip.

This is a huge gigantic log beside a man made drain...the toilet.. haha
Done with the toilet...back to our camp to get ready for dinner before dark.

Time for dinner.... we cooked our own food. Brought some cooked ready to eat Taiwan made vacuum packed eggs and tofu as side dishes. The tofu ( bean curd ) tasted awful..the egg is acceptable >< what to complain if it's ready to eat without cooking.

 Because of the weather...
We had to set up our portable stove under our fly sheet cause the ground was wet outside. October is a raining season...Rained on and off non stop for 3 consecutive days during my 3 days camping trip ...from 18th,19th to 20th October 2013 ><.. What a mood spoiler.
We are camping in Malaysia's Temenggor rainforest hot and humid with high amount of rainfall per year especially on october to november.

Cooking Instant Rice in just 7 minutes with some water from the murky river yummy...
We stirred the rice so that it wouldn't stick or burnt at the bottom of the pot

Having my bowl of yummy instant rice, pork, egg and awful tasted tofu ( bean curd ). That bean curd is out of the menu the next time i go camping... I would make sure of that. It tasted like rubber.

End The Day With A Big Pot Of Rice...
Before Tucked myself warm and tight into my sleeping bag inside the hammock.

zzzZZZ.... (sleeping)
The end of my first day of camping trip on an island in the second largest lake in Malaysia the 'Temenggor Lake'.
