I enjoyed my first night camping in the wild.. woke up early in the morning before sunrise around 5 to 6 am because i slept early last night. Morning view from my tent..a lake with beautiful green water..but the lake water not clear at all i couldn't see the bottom... The Tasik Temenggor lake is actually existed because of a flooded valley caused by a dam ... the water is dangerously deep and murky green.
It's a beautiful morning, with beautiful natural jungle music all around the camp site. It's quite comfy and cold that i couldn't get myself out of my hammock before sunrise. But i had to...
The first thing i did the moment i woke up before sunrise is to check my slippers for creepy crawlies hidden inside... we hung our slippers and shoes on ropes before going to sleep to prevent bugs.
While waiting for the sunlight, we rolled our sleeping bags and hammocks and started to make space to cook breakfast...The weather is good, we set the camp stove outside the flysheet.
We escaped yesterday's nightmare while cooking instant rice with the pot... we eventually burnt the pot badly while cooking bannock this morning >< . We couldn't see the flame with the bright sunlight that we were actually increasing the flame before we realized the bottom of the pot had burnt.
Since the bottom of the pot is badly burnt, we flipped the other half cooked side of the bannock to a frying pan...
Beautiful morning with a burnt bannock for breakfast ...
We quickly finished our breakfast and started to get ready hiking up some hills to chop some bamboos for the next event. The camping organizer arranged some natives to teach and help us build a raft that morning, so that we could play raft on the lake.
For the burnt stain on the pot, we couldn't scrub it off with dish liquid and sponge at the river. We eventually scrubbed off the burnt stains with a metal dish scrub at home. To my surprise, the non stick coat remains intact although we used metal to scrub the pot...I'm so happy the metal dish scrub removed the stains completely without any scars on the non stick pot. Save the day...I still have my non stick coat on the pot without a scratch on it.
