Cook Instant Mexican Rice On An Island

It had been raining on and off at least twice a day since yesterday ><. After we built a raft by the lake...there was a sudden heavy rain downpour. I quickly rushed back to my shelter. We waited for the rain to stop before rolling our hammocks to make space to cook lunch under the flysheet.

Cooking Instant Knorr Mexican Rice for lunch on wet camp ground again.

We filled the pot with 2 cups of water gathered from the murky river water near our campsite and poured a pack of dehydrated instant Mexican Rice for two person into the pot to cook for 7 minutes.

After 7 minutes, we have a nicely cooked spicy instant Mexican Rice in the pot \(^o^)
The rice is colourful with red and green bell peppers dehydrated vegetables mix in it. The red vegetables in the rice are the spicy jalapeno peppers and some red bell peppers.

These are long grained rice which is originally white in colour but the Turmeric in the rice gives it a healthy vibrant yellow colour.

The Knorr Instant Mexican Rice Package..

My bowl of Spicy Mexican Rice for lunch \(^o^)/

This is Taiwan made vacuum packed ready to eat without cooking hard boiled egg marinated in some sort of soy sauce. Brought this to the camp ... easy to pack for outdoor travel. Cold non heated cooked eggs tasted moderate. These are convenient camp food.

Another Taiwan made vacuum packed ready to eat without cooking bean curd marinated in some sort of soy sauce. It's not greasy at all...but it taste like rubber....and cold...I do not like the taste of the bean curd. It was my first time bringing vacuum packed bean curd to camping trip.

The egg and bean curd looks extremely shiny but there are not oily or greasy at all.

We brought vacuum packed pork meat in aluminum foil bag for camping. After cooking the instant rice, we putted the aluminum bag in hot boiling water to heat up the pork in aluminum foil bag.

The organizer of the camping trip dropped by our campsite to give us some raw eggs as an addition to our lunch. Since we brought our own vacuum packed eggs...we kept the raw egg for next day.

Out of pots, using a frying pan to heat up meat in aluminum foil bag.

My meat for the day...Chinese Soy Sauce Pork

My bowl of Mexican Rice With Pork and a half bitten hard boiled egg.

This is how we tucked our hammock in snakeskin to make space for cooking under the flysheet. After lunch while trying to open up my hammock to take some rest I spotted a green spider weaving web on the hammock's rope. It camouflaged very well..

It's a green luminous vibrant colored spider... camouflaged well under the shady trees.

There's another picture of the spider above, very well camouflaged. While I was having a good time watching spider, my neighbors were having their lunch at the background of this picture.
